Kuuga surprise!

Ah man, Been expecting this all week. Worked out a custom deal with a friend: I make him a Microlady Naomi for his Den-O figures, and I can trade it for some items. When I saw this bike and got Kuuga I really needed it. 

I really like it! One thing that amused me though is the fact that it's a mix between Beat chaser and Tri-chaser. The front part is from the Beat chaser, while the rest of it is Tri-chaser painted black.

I find it mildly funny. 

When Kuuga is riding it it seems a hair small, but it doesn't really bother me much so it's passable. 

The guy was so nice, he gave me two of these guys. Of course, the one that looks less banged up is the one Kuuga is riding. Might end up restoring the other one sometime though. 

On a related note: I recently bought myself an HDM kuuga, thinking I could harness some parts for the Motion Revive figure but it ended up too big. Still, it's a very nice statue. 

Those eyes and that belt really do it for me. Some paint flaws here and there but a really well made statue. 

These purchases made my day, and it only got better when I learned that SIC Kiwami Tamashii Kuuga Just got released in Japan.

Only a matter of time before I get mine.

If I'm motivated enough, expect a Rising Mighty, Amazing Mighty and Growing form repaints. 

shoom shoom shoom shoom

Missed out on the first chance to actually get this bike, but a visit to the mall (on a sale day) yielded this light and sound Blue Spader which is just the right size for KT Blade. 

Neat little bike, it has free rolling action and some cool lights and sounds when you use one of the two  Rouse cards that come with the set. I'd like to write more about it as well as include more pics, but I really can't get beyond the "neato" phase. 

Admittedly it's not really all that SIC-ish, too toyetic and thick, the kickstand isn't all that effective, but it has good scale and the gimmickry makes it worth getting at least, (bought mine at 150 php which is around $3-$4).

Besides, I can't find any good 1/18-ish scaled rider vehicles here anyway, (been looking for a Trychaser for Kuuga for foreeever.) so this bike's a keeper.

Now if only I could find Red Rhombus.

more fun for Godai

Today was kinda lucky. I managed to score a used set of DX Trychaser and Beatchaser bikes  old Souchaku Henshin Kuuga line. Perfect rides for my Figuarts Kuuga Mighty.

They're pretty worn, especially the extra Beatchaser, so I used parts from that one to restore the old one I bought last toycon, replacing the missing crest on the first one with the junker i bought today which makes it pretty much complete now. . aside from the paint, two out of three bikes are in really good condition. the Trychaser just needs some new paint here and there:

i'm getting rid of the junker Beatchaser, (giving it to a friend who'll try to fix it) but overall i'm pretty pleased that one of my riders has a bike now. so that takes care of Godai, now to get rides for Hongo and Ichimonji.

cyclone clone

so today i bought myself some cheap, retro looking  1/18 scale  motorcycles:

they disassemble fairly easily, so i decided to try something.

 one sitting later,  i made this. it was a quick repaint that went well and i'm fairly interested in trying this on a 1/18 honda CBR to match with my Motion Revive Kamen Rider The First.

not exactly the Cyclone super-bike, but it'll do for now. nice addition to the other bike i got for him,

a white Honda NSR (1990) if it wasn't for the blue it would already be a perfect fit, so this 'clone bike will be his main ride for a while. 

up next is converting a dirtbike into Trychaser for Motion Revive Kuuga Mighty Form

a cyclone (or something like it) head this way

crossing my fingers and hoping i bag that Motion Revive Kamen Rider Ichigo from Wilvin tomorrow. I already scouted out a good ride for him, a 1/18 scale Honda NSR (1990) decked out in white, red and some blue. 

the model i bought  feels off but it's because of personal preference. when i saw it for sale it was already in the  colors and looked way retro with the rounded and wide curves of the shell not unlike the old cyclone:

well i figure it's a happy compromise, until i'm bugged enough to repaint it myself but that's gonna be a lot of paint masking. hmmm, maybe a weekend project i could do.
