cyclone clone
so today i bought myself some cheap, retro looking 1/18 scale motorcycles:
not exactly the Cyclone super-bike, but it'll do for now. nice addition to the other bike i got for him,
they disassemble fairly easily, so i decided to try something.
one sitting later, i made this. it was a quick repaint that went well and i'm fairly interested in trying this on a 1/18 honda CBR to match with my Motion Revive Kamen Rider The First.
not exactly the Cyclone super-bike, but it'll do for now. nice addition to the other bike i got for him,
a white Honda NSR (1990) if it wasn't for the blue it would already be a perfect fit, so this 'clone bike will be his main ride for a while.
up next is converting a dirtbike into Trychaser for Motion Revive Kuuga Mighty Form

tiny mods to generations wheeljack
i love my generations wheeljack to bits! aside from jazz he's one of the guys i wanted for my classics collection since it started so i'm glad we finally got him. but i couldn't get over how damn wide he was. so i tried out a mod i saw applied to tracks, and decided to use it with him basically refer to the picture below:
nce you open up the chest piece by unscrewing the 4 screws holding him together in the back you'll see the front part connected to the car roof is a sliding groove that attaches to the shoulder of the arms.
you cut the nubs that slide the shoulders in place during transformation, then glue them to their default position in car mode. but you will need to saw some parts down to provide clearance for the head to slide up.

when finished and done up right you'll end up with a slightly less chest-wide wheeljack. and the mod doesn't interfere with his transformation to boot. now if only he was taller.

let's play distractions!
so yeah. i had a list of things to finish way back: http://jazzaphonic.blogspot.com/search/label/to%20do%20list
(gotta add the recent commissions in that list.)
but it seems i won't stop coming up with shit to start making. with this new one though i might actually finish up quick. i wanted to do this because, well this character is a personal favorite--design wise. there are very few crab based kamen riders. i think he may be the only one.
but his design was always intriguing so i started with a Dragon Knight Incisor figure (which is pretty much the same thing) cut him up into the pieces i need and grafted him on an amalgamated GI Joe Body, then i made his wrists compatible with Microman hands.. then some minor cleaning up and adding of details and now i'm almost done. what's left to do is the belt, some cleaning up and smoothening out with sandpaper, and finally the paint.
sure he won't be 100% show accurate but he'll do,until i buy myself the figma version.

bumpity
first post in a while.
i went awol here recently after the charger of my old compaq presario died. (it was almost 7 years old methinks.) i needed to switch to a smaller laptop with a screen size that was claustrophobic to say the least. aside from that it lacked all the tools and gadgets my presario had so i was all 'meh' on doing anything on that tiny laptop other than surfing th web and writing my academic papers.
but in the short while that i was off blogger i did a lot of stuff, and a lot of stuff also happened. my shows folder is gradually growing with new series like wakfu and regular show, as well as old favorites like daria and just recently pepper ann. went to pampanga for a fun school trip, i've been working on and off with my custom works (commissions included) but hardly finishing. my new kittens are keeping me busy with the pooping and the scratching and generally being anywhere they shouldn't be. upholstery is suffering a bad case of the rip and tears. i really should invest in buying a scratching post and a litterbox.
i am sad that i'm giving one of them away but with things as they are it'll make the house more manageable.
so yeah summary of the past few weeks. nothing insightful to be gained, other than my realizing the semester is almost over again and there's still so much left to do, also that i have less than a year to finish my undergraduate life. i'm really hoping things become more eventful when i become 21.
