little tweaks

Decided to change the color of Micro Chun-Li's legs (again, lol).

This time, thought I'd sand a bit off first before spraying a new brown color on it.

Not quite the shade I had in mind but it'll do.

Man, comparisons like this made me realize just how huge Revo Chun-Li is. 

Speaking of the Revoltech, I experimented with those big microman hands (male) and it turns out they fit in well with the figure. A quick adjustment to the wrist holes and Chun-Li has a new set of hands.

Man, she can really strike a pose with those joints.

I haven't forgotten about Joe though:

Didn't touch him at all today. Might do some light sanding later tonight.

Whew! Okay, I think I'm calling this side-kitbash of Happy Lemon/ Kikay Asuka (friends of mine suggested the names. Happy Lemon because she looks like one of the types of customers there, and Kikay because... well she's kikay.)

As for other projects, the build on Ibuki is almost done, just gotta fix her bracers, and Deunan is pretty much finished. I'm just not motivated right now to make a full gallery for her.

Over the weekend as well, another friend donated a Kiwami Tamashii Zanki for a project, gonna attempt to make a KT Ichigo to pal around with this dude down here:

Now I need fifty more Superhero Showdown Daredevil figures and sofubi mooks to make an army of combatmen... or Shocker riders

Speaking of Shocker riders here's the current state of their Heisei Equivalent, my S.I.C. Kiwami Tamashii Riotrooper (first of my target of six units).Still a lot of work to be done but the look is there.

Oh yeah, since I did some partswapping to complete Asuka, I'm left with another spare microlady to work on. So far I don't have a definite idea what I want to turn her into but that cycling shorts look is kind of neat looking. I wonder what character wears shorts like that.

Hmmm...

OH YEAH.

Well, at least I know the sculpt on the legs doesn't break up too much when they're posed. (whew!)

Also did some more work on her chest.

Here's Ibuki in her current state. I was able to work the sculpt around the articulation points well enough, and i'm pretty thankful i started with the most difficult parts on the figure, though the folds still need some work. her face cover is also removable. When the legs are finished I'll probably put this aside for a while.

finally!

I first saw the modification here a few months back. And I really liked it. so after I did the thigh mods for chun-li I immediately began looking for replacement gashapon heads to use. Came across a few, didn't like most. Finally, today I was able to track down a set of Capcom Gals Collection series 2 at a local toy store,and with the help of a friend I bought it (and now owe him something around 20 bucks but hell I don't care, ALTERNATE HEADS!).

seriously I love this new head for the figure. just the right size, sharper features, sure the expression seems generic, and she could use her trademark eyeshadow but overall i'm happy.also the original statue came with this effect part:

i need more effect parts.

just as well, I did a mod for sakura too, using the other statue of her in the set:

not as enthusiastic about it, but hey it has character!

unexpectedly I also ended up with a lilith figure, (albeit a scoolgirl one)

can you say microcephaly?

man I need to find a smaller body for dat lilith.

frustrations with working

okay, things to remember: always watch the mixing portions of 2-part epoxy putty. you don't want to end up with a mix that fails to harden and set properly leaving the sculpt soft and flaky when being sanded.

and never work on something after being awake for 24 hours straight.
