Bought and converted this thing today. It's an effect part for the LBX line of model kits, the way it looks though it's perfect for using with other figures as well, with or without a little tweaking. Definitely gonna buy more in the future. Really nice Diorama pieces. 

My really small body of work

Sure it's not my "complete" body of work, but just some stuff (finished, in the works)  for a specific line like S.I.C. Kiwami Tamashii. I've been having a lot of fun with this line as of late and it really got me practicing sculpting. The time difference between my work really hasn't been that long but I'm glad that there's a bit of progression in any case.

Hoping for more stuff to make this 2013 and beyond!

Working on some stuff this month, first is this KT sized Kamen Rider Black, based on the Takeya sculpt

Next is my version of the Rhino Grongi from Kamen Rider Kuuga. Still a long way to go on both pieces.

Darker shade of BLACK (and RX)

I think I hit the jackpot today.

I stumbled on S.I.C. Vol 16: Masked Rider Black RX & Masked Rider Black set (first release) today for $37. I wasn't expecting to find it but I did and I had the money to nab it.

It's been on my list for a very long time, and a definite bonus that it was sculpted by one of my favorite artists  in this medium as well, Takayuki Takeya.

I feel like posting a review of this decade(HA! RIDER PUNS) -old figure in the immediate future, stay tuned! 

Spider-man, A process.

Just finished painting this guy tonight while fighting illness.

It was supposed to be done last year but stuff happened and I found the process easier when I used my rotary tool on it.

Anyway the main mods I did to this was a change in the overall wideness of the torso, as well as adding a revoljoint in the neck and adding thigh swivels to the legs. I think i did pretty well. I'll get a proper pictorial up soon.

Admittedly though the paintjob could have been better, I ended up with a sort of old toybiz look.

Kuuga Redux!

Might as well do it again. I think I'll end up with a better looking Ultimate Kuuga than the one I already posted. At least now I'm not so heavily reliant on just slicing stuff off then piling on putty.I was able to reshape the horns with just my rotary tool and nothing else, that's probably the main difference this time around. 

I also wanted to make some slight differences in the headsculpts, I'll probably strip the paint they put on the eyes as well. I also experimented further in using thin wire to make tiny details like the trim on the guantlets and abs, as well as the shoulders. Not perfect though I'm satisfied with it, I'm considering it practice for Daguva, haha. 

At this point, all that's left would be some minor sculpting to build up the forearms and shoulder armor then I'll strip the paint off the figure before priming. The color scheme seemed off the last time I tried this custom but I intend to avoid the mistakes I made with this second version.

All this practice is slowly paying off. I'll definitely be making my version of N-Daguva-Zeba soon.
